The turnkey alternative to VoIP.ms

VoIP.ms is excellent if you like configuring everything yourself. If you want it to just work — predictable plans, provisioned phones, native CRM — Clemento runs the PBX for you.

  • Free porting from VoIP.ms
  • SOC 2 Type II & ISO 27001 certified
  • No contract

In two sentences

VoIP.ms — you buy minutes and numbers, you plug in your devices, you build the PBX in the portal.
Clemento — you pick a plan, we provision the phones, queues, CRM and BLF. You pick up the handset.

Two ways to run a phone system

Same need: a business phone system. Either you assemble it in a carrier portal, or we run the PBX for you.

Do-it-yourself

VoIP.ms

BYOD carrier: minutes, numbers, and a technical portal. You are the integrator.

  • Pay-as-you-go — DID + minutes, inbound and outbound billed separately.
  • BYOD — every phone is configured by hand.
  • PBX you assemble — IVR, queues, park, BLF: enable them in the portal.
  • CRM via Zapier or API — no native integrations.

Ideal if you like full control and your call volume is low.

Turnkey

Clemento

Managed PBX: predictable bill, provisioned phones, team experience included. We are the integrator.

  • Predictable plans — per-minute, included minutes or unlimited.
  • Auto-provisioning — unplug, replug, it is configured. Native Park, Transfer and Conference keys.
  • Team PBX included — queue callback, web form, wallboard, reports (PDF EN/FR/ES), BLF, intercom and paging.
  • Native CRM — GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Zoho, Odoo… without Zapier.

We actually cut costs and improve customer and employee experience — with features VoIP.ms does not offer.

Feature VoIP.ms Clemento
Offer and billing
Model BYOD pay-as-you-go. DIDs from about $1.10/month + minutes. No contract. Managed PBX. $1/user + numbers. No contract.
Minute plans Per-minute only. Inbound and outbound billed separately. Variable invoice. Per-minute, included minutes or unlimited (Business, Residential, Lite, Family, SMB). Predictable invoice.
Number porting Porting available under their terms. $15 USD per request. Free if the numbers come from VoIP.ms — via support or sales.
PBX and queues
IVR, ring groups, queues Included — you configure them in the portal. Included, configured with you.
Time conditions Recurring weekly windows only (e.g. 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Mon–Fri). No specific-date exceptions or calendar holidays. Weekly business hours, plus recurring holidays and specific dates (closed… or exceptionally open). See time conditions.
Automatic queue callback Not offered natively. Included — the caller presses 1 and we call them back.
Web callback form Not offered. Included — visitors join the queue from your website.
Supervision / wallboard Not offered. Included — agents, queues and waits in real time.
Queue reports CDR and usage graphs (destinations, minutes, spend). No dedicated queue report (volumes, SLA, abandon, per agent). Generated from the portal: received, answered, abandoned, wait times, stats by queue and agent, peak hours, login sessions. KPIs (answer rate, abandon, service level). PDF export EN / FR / ES.
Remote provisioning Not offered. BYOD, each phone is configured by hand. Included — auto-provisioning for Yealink, Grandstream and more, plus a shop of preconfigured devices.
Intercom and paging Not offered. Only via device multicast, or a separate local PBX. Included — extension-to-extension intercom and live pages to a group, a floor or the whole building.
Scheduled pages (bells) Not offered. Included — bells and announcements on a schedule (schools, plants, stores), managed in the portal. See pages and bells.
Desk phones and teamwork
Concurrent Registration Not offered. One device per sub-account. Desk + mobile means two sub-accounts and a ring group. Included — up to 3 devices on the same extension (e.g. 201 at the desk and on the cell).
BLF (busy lamps) Enabled by support, via ticket, server by server. Must be redone for each new sub-account. On by default, updates in milliseconds.
Park, Transfer, Conference, pickup keys Feature codes to memorize and program on each device. Native physical keys on every brand. No codes to remember.
Server-side call forwarding No server star code. *72 / *73 are handled by the device (Grandstream, Yealink, etc.) — forwarding stays on the phone. Otherwise, set it up manually in the portal (forwarding entry + DID routing). *272 to enable, *273 to disable: forwarding is on the server, even if the phone intercepts *72 / *73. Works from any extension.
BLF per parking slot Limited number of lamps. Unlimited — as many BLFs as parking slots.
Conference rooms Must be tied to a DID (per-minute plan). Internal extension, reachable in a few digits. They can also be tied to a DID — it is optional, not required.
Server constraint BLF, park and presence require every device to register on the same server (PoP). Truly multi-server: each device registers wherever is convenient. Same PBX.
Integrations and media
CRM integrations Via Zapier, Integrately or API. No native connectors. Native: GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Brevo, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Odoo, Twenty, Datto Autotask.
Transcription Calls and voicemail, $0.05/min. Calls + voicemail, summary, sentiment, redaction. $0.0045/min — about 10× cheaper.

The right choice for your situation

VoIP.ms is the right choice if…

  • you are comfortable with a technical portal and SIP codes;
  • your call volume is low and a per-minute bill suits you;
  • you want to assemble everything yourself (IVR, queues, park, CRM via Zapier);
  • all your devices can stay on a single server.

Clemento is the right choice if…

  • you want to cut costs and improve the experience for customers and employees with features (callback, CRM, reports, paging) VoIP.ms does not offer;
  • you want a predictable bill (included or unlimited minutes) and free porting from VoIP.ms (via support or sales);
  • you have 5, 50 or 500 phones to provision, not configure one by one;
  • you want queue callback, a wallboard and a connected CRM, without Zapier;
  • your sites and devices need to register on different servers.

Moving from VoIP.ms to Clemento

We handle the transition so you can keep working. Porting, normally $15 USD per request, is free if your numbers come from VoIP.ms — contact support or sales. Your SIP devices are reused, your teams are trained.

Frequently asked questions

Is it cheaper than VoIP.ms?

Yes, for a real team. A plan with included or unlimited minutes costs less as soon as volume is more than anecdotal — and the bill stays predictable. The per-minute rate at VoIP.ms can look cheap at tiny volume; once you count the time to assemble everything, Zapier for CRM, and missed calls with no callback, the gap flips. Use the savings calculator on the business page for a number that matches your usage.

What about customer and employee experience?

We improve it in practice, with features VoIP.ms does not offer. Queue callback and the web form keep callers from waiting in silence. Native CRM gives the employee context before they pick up. Wallboard, reports, intercom, pages and bells: the team works like a real PBX, not a carrier you have to assemble. That is what changes the day-to-day — not only the line on the invoice.

Can I keep my numbers?

Yes. Porting is normally $15 USD per request. If the numbers come from VoIP.ms, it is free — contact support or sales. Your existing SIP devices stay usable.

Will my Yealink or Grandstream phones work?

Yes. We provision them remotely: no more configuring each phone by hand. Park, Transfer, Conference and pickup keys work natively, with no codes to memorize.

Do I need Zapier?

Not for the natively integrated CRMs (GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Brevo, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, Odoo, Twenty, Datto Autotask). Zapier, Make or n8n remain available through the API and webhooks if you have other automations.

What does “turnkey” mean?

Guided go-live, device provisioning, queues with callback, CRM connected from the portal, team training — without building the system yourself in a technical portal.

Is VoIP.ms a bad choice?

No. VoIP.ms is an excellent do-it-yourself service: pay-as-you-go, BYOD, technical portal. Clemento is for teams that want a managed PBX — predictable plans, provisioned phones, native CRM, multi-server BLF — without configuring everything themselves.
